There several buildings, ponds, some woodland and gardens at the farm, that all need renovation.  We have plans to run a 100% off-grid project, with rain water catchment, solar with batteries and compost toilets, using the compost to improve the garden soil.  

We are aiming to get rid of the oil tanks that currently run the farmhouse heating and hot water by 2023 and are looking to install solar on all the barn roofs, so we can use our own solar and wind generated electricity.  We will also be installing more rain water harvesting systems from the roofs to provide water for the farm and buildings.  

We are keen to look at anything experimental and cost effective to install, from sand batteries to energy from waste materials; so if you have any ideas you would like to share or products you would like us to test, we would be very interested to hear from you.
